In this domain, we research new modalities of data acquisition via neutrons and x-rays using state-of-the-art multi-energy detectors (such as MULTIX and ADVACAM) in our laboratory facilities to study, among others, x-ray scattering in various materials.

Our second research direction evolves around a team at DTU Compute, performing research in the area of image analysis and computer graphics. Within this research theme, we aim to develop advanced tomographic reconstruction techniques to increase the quality of the resulting CT volume images. We furthermore investigate applicable algorithms and data structures used for automatic CT segmentation and reliable voxel classification for chemical indicators.

Research themes

Multi-Energy X-ray Imaging

X-ray scattering in heterogeneous media

Multi-Energy Computed Tomography (MECT) Reconstruction

MECT Segmentation and Classification

EASI and CIL transferring research in radiography, tomography and advanced image analysis to airport security Our general research directions are two-fold: the DTU Physics team conducts research in the area of neutrons and x-rays for material sciences.
